What is an Alt Tag? Have you ever visited a website and hovered over a photo or image and a block with words popped up? That is an alt tag.
I encourage you to visit your website right now and check each of your photos and company images. If you don’t have actual words appearing when you hover your mouse then I have some bad news to tell you.
The search engine aren’t seeing those pictures.
Search engines only see words and so you need to make sure that each image, photo and designed header has an Alt Tag in the HTML code that describes the image. There’s nothing worse than realizing that the only time your company name is mentioned on your website is in the logo and it doesn’t have an alt tag. That means that the search engines don’t know the name of your company! Check out this video that explains it even more!
